What is the difference between ECplus and Vplus technology?
Both ECplus and Vplus fans are controlled by an MFD frequency controller, which, with advanced vector control, determines the rotor position without an encoder. This allows the controller to get the maximum out of the motor and ensures very precise performance. ECplus motors are equipped with a conventional rotor: a robust and reliable combination. If the controller fails, you can bypass it and run the fan at full power, a frequently requested feature by customers for whom ventilation is crucial.
Vplus motors, on the other hand, have a rotor with permanent magnets. As a result, the motor consumes less power, making these fans among the most energy-efficient on the market. The disadvantage is that you cannot bypass the controller and that repairs often cannot be carried out on-site.

How do I save money with ECplus or Vplus technology?
According to the fan laws, you save 50% energy with a frequency controller when you reduce the fan speed by 20%. Airflow also decreases by 20%. In addition, static pressure plays a role in exhaust fans. In the diagram below, we compare three types of 92 cm Panel Fans:
