In the construction and renovation sector, fans are essential for efficient drying of buildings and effective dust control. Especially within the rental market for construction equipment, where equipment is used intensively, reliability and durability are of great importance. In this case, we speak with Dryfast, an expert in mobile climate equipment, which supplies fans from Vostermans Ventilation for the construction and renovation sector in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Fans are mainly used to accelerate drying processes in construction and to extract dust during renovation and construction activities. A third important application is air movement. Fans make it possible to efficiently transport both cold and warm air to other spaces or to supply fresh air, for example in tunnels.
“By combining fans with building dryers, dry air is distributed more effectively, allowing the drying process to be up to 30% faster while consuming less energy overall,” says Brent Fiddelaers, Sales Manager at Dryfast.
“This is crucial, because follow-up work can only start once spaces are completely dry,” he adds. The lead time of a construction project directly depends on this drying process.
According to Brent, fans also play an important role in removing harmful construction dust. By connecting an air hose with a custom-developed hose adapter and dust bag, dust is actively removed from the space. This supports dust-free working, which is the legal standard in the Netherlands and Belgium.

For these applications, Dryfast purchases, among others, mobile fans with diameters of 40 and 50 cm from Vostermans Ventilation. In addition, they use the Panel Fan and the Galvanized Box Fan. These fans are assembled by Dryfast itself into a robust steel frame, making them suitable for mobile use on construction sites and in rental applications. Dryfast then markets these solutions under its own private label.
Within the rental market, fans must withstand harsh conditions such as dust, moisture, and transport. According to Dryfast, the fans produced by Vostermans Ventilation meet these requirements.
“The quality and reliability of these fans are decisive. They have a long service life, a high IP rating, and are easy to clean. That is essential in the rental market, where products are used repeatedly,” says Brent.
The fans also perform strongly in terms of maintenance:
“Maintenance is minimal. Cleaning can easily be done with water, and minor defects, such as a cable or switch, can be repaired quickly and inexpensively in-house. Even with intensive use, we see very little downtime,” says Jeroen van Erkel, Purchase Manager at Dryfast.
In addition to performance, ease of use is an important factor for end users in construction.
“The mobile fans are compact, easy to transport, and immediately ready for use thanks to the plug-and-play principle. The speed is adjustable and the airflow easy to direct, making them suitable for different spaces and applications,” says Brent.
The fans are also broadly deployable, which offers advantages for rental companies:
“One type of fan can be used for building drying, dust extraction, and heat removal. This makes them flexible to use and saves warehouse space, because there is no need to purchase a different fan for every application,” says Jeroen.

The collaboration with Vostermans Ventilation is experienced as very positive and goes back more than 25 years. “Communication runs smoothly: Vostermans is easily reachable both by phone and e-mail, and questions or problems are always handled quickly and adequately,” says Brent.
Delivery reliability also plays an important role. Dryfast keeps its own stock, but can also rely on clear and stable delivery times from Vostermans. This predictability makes it possible to plan efficiently, especially during busy periods.
According to Dryfast, the strength of the collaboration lies in reliability. “Vostermans has been a partner we can rely on for more than 25 years and continuously delivers proven quality. We clearly see that trust reflected in the feedback from our customers as well,” says Jeroen.
Dryfast has been a specialist in mobile climate equipment since 1995. With branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, the company supplies solutions for dehumidification, ventilation, and cooling, among others. In addition to supplying equipment, Dryfast also develops and manufactures its own building dryers and supports customers with expert advice and service.
