Multifan pushes (Dutch) ice scater
One of the fastest ice tracks in the world, the Thialf stadium in Heerenveen, Holland, recently installed a number of Multifan Basket fans (diameter 130 cm/50”). To be able to intensify the training methods of the (professional) ice skaters they needed an extra air stream on the track. In pre-season to stimulate the speed by supplying back wind; during season to charge the skaters extra with head wind. It is not known to us yet, how they will be applied during the international ice track competitions…….
