Interview with Rudi Schelstraete

Over the last ten years Rudi Schelstraete has been active as a Sales Engineer for EMI and we can say without hesitation that he knows the products through and through. A good reason to ask him what he thinks about the integration of EMI products in Vostermans Ventilation.


How do you think the transfer to Vostermans Ventilation has gone?
"For the last two months I have been joining the sales team in Venlo for a couple of days a week. The integration of EMI products is shaping up nicely. Culminating in the presence at Eurotier, this served as a confirmation to many dealers that they will still be able to sell EMI products in the future".


In your view, in what respects do the two companies fit together?
"Vostermans Ventilation was previously a competitor of EMI, but a good one. The two companies have built up a reputation as pioneers in the field of developing fans. Thanks to specialisation in stainless steel impellers, EMI products are a good complement to the Multifan fans with plastic impellers".


What do you see looking into the future?
"At first there was obviously a lot of uncertainty, not only for employees but also among customers. Thanks to the active policy of Vostermans Ventilation, I can observe that confidence and involvement are slowly increasing. Some problems still need to be ironed out, but I think that integration will be completed successfully", says a satisfied Rudi Schelstraete.
